Two years ago we decided that in our home Valentine's Day would become a family celebration. I don't have any picture from those years but I do remember some details:
~2003~
Clint came home to a candle-lit dinner consisting of chicken fettuccine, garlic bread and salad. The kids had helped decorate the table and made special place mats for each of us and a rose was at his place. Each of the kids had some M&M's, a stuffed animal and a balloon. We had an Enya cd playing and I remember Clint looking at me though just candle light and dim lamp asking me if I was planning on sacrificing him after dinner! Lol! That's a great memory!
~2004~
Homemade dinner of cajun shrimp pasta, cheddar biscuits, salad and sparkling cider. For dessert, chocolate dipped strawberries. It was purely scrumptious!
~2005~
We had a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's this year... I went all out... for the kids at least!
Then they were off to bed and Clint and I had dinner for two... though I don't remember what it was. =-(
I love spending Valentine's Day with my family!
It's a tradition I hope we always hold to.
I love you precious family.
