Thanks for 2011!

As we leave 2011 behind and move forward into 2012, I reflect on the year and would like to thank you, God...

-That even though our year started out rough with our time at Bridgeport Community Church ending suddenly, sadly and with some regrets, that we made some lasting relationships - that we were able to serve the community alongside these people and show the love of God to them - that we learned some great lessons along the way - that I had some great time with the ladies with whom I worked at Brewster Elementary School - and most of all, that your love and guiding hand were with us through it all. (January)

-that we had a great road trip from Washington to Texas and for the visits with family and friends along the journey and for the opportunity to see different parts of this great country! - that we had such good family time together and that we arrived safely to East Texas to Mom & Bob's home that was opened to us for a time - for a great Valentine's Day with family I haven't seen in many years and that I could show your love to them through it. (February)

-that birthdays and other holidays were celebrated together - that a job for Clint was provided - that a dream vacation was gifted to us - that you just kept providing - and that you used this time to strengthen us as a family, to build us back up and restore what had been lost - that you encouraged our kids and have worked amazingly in their hearts... I see you in them! I see their walk with you is stronger and closer and for that, I praise you! - that even though during these months we didn't have a home of our own, we were taken care of and you met our every need. (March-July)

-that CLC came into our lives and an opportunity to serve there became ours - that a home was provided - that the kids transitioned into school easily. (August)

-that you have provided for us in ways I would never have imagined - that you have turned "not enough" into "more than enough" and blown my socks off - that you have increased my faith and encouraged me to keep going in what you have called us to do - that you have shown us cool things to do as a family that help us to feel more at home here in Texas. (September-December)

Thank you for time with family who I haven't seen in so many years - for cool ways to keep in touch with far-away family and friends - for new friends that I like to call family because that's what they feel like - for kids who love you and are doing their best to stand for you - for a husband who loves you and serves you and his family faithfully - for our health and our home - for opportunities to serve, to reach out, to show your love.

Thank you for the gift of 2011 and for all the good times (and for those to share it with) and bad times (and for restoring joy through them)... because they have all ultimately been for your glory.
Thank you for what 2012 will hold because I know you have a plan for it - I pray that I will experience more of you and see more of what your purpose is for me!

I give thanks to you O Lord, for you are good!

All of my heart and devotion,
Kimberly
