Daniel 3 - Follow Up

While reading Daniel 3 and God showing me the power of His hand with our kids in the fire, I ran across a note that talked about the strength that came to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego through their friendship. They were good friends, godly friends who shared their strong belief in God and desires to obey and honor him. Imagine how hard it might have been to stand up during their trials if they had been alone. Could they have done it?... Possibly. But how encouraging it must have been to know that they did not have to! They drew from being equally yoked in God and stood strong against the order to dishonor God, and were willing to die for it! These are the kinds of friendships I pray for for my kids! And God is more than able to provide them! Amen!
