Tonight I was getting ready for the next day, including making the kids their lunches when I just decided that I would treat them to Subway. So Clint & I hopped in the car and drove to the nearest location. While Clint went inside, a man approached my car asking for spare change, which I truthfully did not have. (Aaron cleans us out frequently) When Clint came out of Subway, he apparently was hit up for change also and as we drove away, he asked if we had any at home we could bring back the man. It then hit us, that maybe we didn't have cash, but we did have a debit card. So we turned around and went back. Clint took the man inside and told him to order what he wanted. The man shook Clint's hand over and over and began to spill his life out and how he hadn't eaten in two days and was just so appreciative. I sat in the car with tears in my eyes and God just spoke to me that he had positioned us there to stop and connect and meet this man's need... His child's need. We are each His child and He knows our every need and He will provide. He loves us. He loves that man so much he provided dinner to him and He loves us so much that used this opportunity as a beautiful reminder of His faithfulness.
Stop. Connect. The opportunities are there.
---“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink... “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?... “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25:34-40---
